KINGS AND QUEENS.

(image from 30 Seconds to Mars' official website)
Last tuesday I saw 30 Seconds to Mars for the second time in a short while playing along with Rams Pocket Radio and You Me at Six as part of Belsonic 2011.

Since being introduced to Rams Pocket Radio via Glasgowbury, I was rather excited to get to see them, and they didn't disappoint! They played a lively, confident and fun set to the growing crowd and I really enjoyed them! I'm looking forward to seeing what they get up to over the coming months and years.

You Me at Six are the sort of band that for me should be a bit of a guilty pleasure, but I don't even like them enough for that to be the case! The crowd, as a general rule, loved them, however, and they really contributed to building the atmosphere towards the main event.

If you've listened to 30 Seconds to Mars at all, you'll be aware of their anthemic, stadium-ready style, and it was no surprise that they put on another super performance. The (gorgeous!!) Leto brothers and company lit up the stage and the audience together and really seemed to enjoy the gig themselves, which is always a bonus! If you get the chance, I'd recommend them for a gig, because it's truly an awesome experience.

CIGARETTES IN THE THEATRE.

Recently, I'm loving cinema dates. I get really excited about going to the cinema and watching something new and eating my body weight in popcorn, and somehow I always feel super relaxed after it! Last week we went to see Super 8, which I've been waiting to see for a few weeks, and because I was wearing a brand new (snapped up in the sale) dress, I asked Conor to take a few photos for me!

Dress - River Island
Belt - Topshop
Shoes - River Island
Cardigan - Tesco

Super 8 itself was pretty good and pretty cute! Elle Fanning (playing Alice Dainard) was really fantastic in it, and I'm only after learning she's only 13! Definitely one to keep an eye on. It's worth a watch for sure, although, be warned, it does get pretty cheesy at the end!

THE WEEKENDERS.

Last weekend Mr Sally and I took a little trip up to Bundoran to do as little as possible for as long as possible, and we succeeded until Monday evening!

Tshirt - H+M (customised with a bit of machine sewing)
Jeans - Primark
Hat - Accessorise
Flip-flops - Vans

Do you like his t-shirt? I painted it myself! I used a stencil from Ed Roth's Stencil 101 book for the swallow and the text says Homeward Bound!

We had a pretty good time, and I cooked some pretty mean breakfasts too (including french toast and bacon!!) and also went on a brief shopping trip on which I scored a dress and a bag!
